The Yolky Slime is a somewhat rare slime that spawns near chicken nests anywhere throughout Rainbow Island, with the exception of The Conservatory. Chickens do not need to be nearby for the Yolky slime to spawn at a nest.
The Yolky slime does not hunt or eat chickens like the Tabby Slime does, but instead has a seemingly symbiotic relationship with them.
The affection of a Yolky Slime causes nearby Hen Hens to occasionally create a giant egg filled with Yolky plorts and Chickadoos. Plorts are only obtainable from giant eggs that are still fresh, indicated by a glowing yolk. It takes 3 in-game hours (3 real-life minutes) for an egg to spoil, after which it will no longer contain Yolky plorts. All giant eggs, regardless of freshness, will contain five Chickadoos, the variety of which will match the Hen Hen that laid it.
An overcrowded pen will cause giant eggs to appear less often.
These slimes have no diet or favorite foods, and are best kept inside Coops by ranchers. And their favorite toy, Happy Plush Bread Loaf, can keep giant eggs fresh longer.

Rancher Risks
Yolky slimes can only inspire the production of giant eggs when nearby chickens are able to reproduce -- they're not miracle workers -- so if hens and roostros are too crowded, giant eggs will be a rare occurrence indeed. Slime ranchers should also note that giant eggs will only produce yolky plorts when they are fresh and the yolk inside is still glowing.
Plortonomics
Yolky plorts are highly valued for their concentrated nutrients, containing an extremely potent variant of vitamin D that allows people to reduce their sunlight intake for long periods of time, making them popular with cosmic pioneers, deep sea explorers, and gamers.
But though yolky plorts can replace the physical need for sunlight, they can never replace the warmth you feel when it touches your face, and the comfort it offers to know that the sun rose once more in your world. To be a stranger to that and still have hope for tomorrow would require the strongest of convictions.

Origin
- The Yolky Slime's shape is based on fried egg, a common egg-based dish which removes egg shell and cooks into the frying pan.
