Water Springs are common harvest nodes used to gather water - the main defense against Tarr, among other uses. They can be found in The Dry Reef, in a body of water in The Indigo Quarry, and at certain oases in The Glass Desert.

Springs can harm Tarr on contact.

You can only gather water once you buy the Water Tank upgrade. Without one, water cannot be stored.
There are multiple springs in The Indigo Quarry which are immersed in water. If angled correctly they can provide ten units of water in one go instead of five; five from the spring, five from the water.

1.1.0 - (Undocumented) Collecting water from any harvest node now provides 5 units of water instead of 1.
0.2.5 - Make it easier to collect water from the fresh water springs. In addition, all water visuals are improved.
