Green Treasure Pod

Treasure Pods are small mechanical sphere objects. They are usually found only within specific spots, and can be only used once.

To open them, first you need the Treasure Cracker upgrade. There's three of them, each one lets you open more advanced Treasure Pods.

Each one contains either blueprints for Slime Science gadgets, or a bunch of Slime Science resources.

There are currently 59 Treasure Pods in the game.

Locations

Green

The green Treasure Pods are all decoration. To open green Treasure Pods, you need the basic Treasure Cracker upgrade. There are 11 currently known, but there might be more.

  1. In the first section of the Dry Reef, there is a low wall to your left that you can jump over to a little secret area. The pod can be found in the far corner. Gives you a blueprint of a Sponge Shrub.
  2. In the Dry Reef inside the Phosphor Gordo cave. Gives you a blueprint of a Violet Slime Lamp.
  3. In the final section of the Dry Reef before the Moss Blanket. To left of the water fountain, you can climb up the rising wall and find the pod behind the pink bushes. Gives you a blueprint of a Sponge Tree.
  4. In the final section of the Dry Reef to the left of the Tabby Gordo near the bridge to the Moss Blanket. Gives you a blueprint of Coral Grass Patch.
  5. On top of the Ring Island (to the right of the Pink Gordo, across the gap and through the cave, to the left and up. The pod is on the ledge with the pink grass). Gives you a blueprint of a Violet Warp Depot.
  6. In the large forest section of the Moss Blanket. It is near a Water Spout surrounded by a stone ring, and the pod can be found behind the tree to the fountain's left. This spot is only accessible using a jet pack. Gives you a blueprint of Mossy Tree.
  7. In the large forest section of the Moss Blanket at the Pink Boom Feral's skull sign, go left and up. The pod can be found in the place directly across that you drop down into. Gives you a blueprint of Wildflower Patch.
  8. In the flower section of the Moss Blanket. The pod is right next to chicken nests. Gives you a blueprint of an Amber Slime Lamp.
  9. After the hollowed log that leads to the last section in the Moss Blanket, there's small opening to the left that leads to a bridge. You need the jet pack and a couple energy upgrades. Beware the Hunter Ferals, there's a ton of them! Look for a small hollowed log (smallest you've seen but can still be entered). Fly straight up and look near the center of this area for a ledge holding the pod. Gives you a blueprint of a Mossy Tree Stump.
  10. Across from the exit of the cave that leads into the Indigo Quarry (the cave with the first Rock Gordo). Gives you a blueprint of Minty Grass Patch.
  11. Just below the right entrance to the Volcanic Cave. Gives you a blueprint of Blue Coral Columns.
  12. Right beside the gateway to the Beach in the Dry Reef near the Pink Rock Feral slime. GIves you three Spiral Steam (unsure if it gives you that every time)
  13. Right outside the entrance to the big cave with the teleporter to the Grotto in the Indigo Quarry. Gives you three Slime Fossil (unsure if it gives you that every time)
  14. Near the teleporter that sends you to the Ash Isle in the Indigo Quarry. Gives you two Indigonium and a Strange Diamond (unsure if it gives you that every time)

Blue

Blue Treasure Pods are mostly usefully things such as lighting and teleportation. To open blue Treasure Pods, you need the advanced Treasure Cracker upgrade. There are 10 currently known, but there might be more.

  1. In the Dry Reef on the coral arch island near the first Pink Gordo's island. Gives you a blueprint of a Violet Teleporter.
  2. In the section of the Dry Reef that leads to the Indigo Quarry slime gate. there is a high area near the pogofruit tree. Gives you a blueprint of Pink Coral Columns.
  3. In an area found through going over little islands found where The Grotto's teleporter is, somewhere high up a pod can be found. Gives you a blueprint of the Spring Pad.
  4. Right after the big mushroom section in the Moss Blanket when you find wooden bridges to traverse through, the pod can be found in the corner here. Gives you a blueprint of Glow Cones.
  5. In the last section in the Moss Blanket before the one-way teleporter, the pod is found underwater, under the wooden bridge. Gives you a blueprint of Amber Warp Depot.
  6. Somewhere high in the Volcanic Cave that is found in the Indigo Quarry. Gives you a blueprint of Crystal Cluster.
  7. Near the center crater hole in the Volcanic Island. Gives you a blueprint of Fireflower Patch.
  8. At the bottom of the wooden plank stair scaffold close to the Rad Gordo's cave, near the pond section in the Indigo Quarry. Gives you a blueprint of a Green Slime Lamp.
  9. Behind a pillar in the Rad Gordo's cave in the Indigo Quarry. Gives you a blueprint of a Green Teleporter.
  10. Fly to the left from the rocks near the Tabby Gordo in the Dry Reef. Continue in that direction, flying from rock to rock, and you will encounter the pod. Gives you a blueprint of a Red Slime Lamp.
  11. Right under the slope that leads from the Overgrowth to the Beach in the Dry Reef. GIves you three Spiral Steam (unsure if it gives you that every time)
  12. Near the big drop at the Moss Blanket, fly up the ledge, the pod is underneath a set of wooden staircase. Gives you two Wild Honey and a Royal Jelly (unsure if it gives you that every time)
  13. In the first pond right outside the Cinder Grove in the Indigo Quarry. Gives you two Indigonium and a Strange Diamond (unsure if it gives you that every time)
  14. At the top of the slope near the one-way Teleporter in the Indigo Quarry. Gives you three Slime Fossil (unsure if it gives you that every time)

Black

To open black Treasure Pods, you need the most advanced Treasure Cracker upgrade. There are 10 currently known, but there might be more.

  1. There's a small island with circular stones shortly after entering the Hunter Ferals section in the Moss Blanket, a bit of a distance from that is a tall stump in the water. You need to use the mushrooms from small hollowed log that should be nearby, other mushrooms of trees along the way and a full 250 energy jetpack in order to reach this super hidden pod. Gives you a blueprint of an Amber Teleporter.
  2. Keep walking through the Hunter Feral section in the Moss Blanket until you find the one-way teleporter, at the last jump before the ramp that takes you back fall down to get the pod. Gives you a blueprint of Red Warp Depot.
  3. Go into the lake that's found in the mushroom section of the Moss Blanket. The pod should be found underwater behind the tree that is found here. Gives you a blueprint of Jumbo Mushroom.
  4. In the Volcanic Island, close to the circular ring of glowing flowers, look near the edges for a spot with a broken bridge, and the pod should be here on the other side. Gives you a blueprint of Red Teleporter.
  5. In the Indigo Quarry where the Pink Rad Ferals and Boom Rad Ferals spawn, use the jetpack and the nearby crystals to take you the high path with wooden bridges, at the end instead of falling down to the right look to the left and you'll see an area holding the pod. Gives you a blueprint of Green Warp Depot.
  6. When attempting to backtrack to the Indigo Quarry slime gate entrance, instead of dropping down to the entrance climb up to the right and look off the edge for a ledge holding the pod. If you have problems with finding it, go to the construction sign near the one way teleporter, you can see it from there too. Gives you a blueprint of a Hexium Formation.
  7. Fly to the left from the rocks near the Tabby Gordo in the Dry Reef. Continue in that direction, flying from rock to rock, and you will encounter a teleporter leading to Mystery Island. The pod is found in the middle of Mystery Island. Gives you a blueprint of the Handlebar Fashion Pod.
  8. In the Moss Blanket, fly up a ledge to the left before the broken bridge. Instead of turning left, fly to the left side of the nearby large rock. The pod is behind it. Gives you a blueprint of the Smart Fashion Pod.
  9. In the Moss Blanket, go through the large log and turn to your left where the bridge is. Walk out onto the bridge and look under the log, there's a small island directly under it where the pod lies. Gives you a blueprint of the Shady Fashion Pod.

Tips

Although there isn't really a need for tips on the treasure pods themselves, you might need help with getting Treasure Cracker upgrades. By the way, time doesn't matter much in unlocking more advanced upgrades here, unlike what you might think. As one of devs said: "Treasure cracker unlocks are not solely dependent on time. In fact, time is barely a factor".

  1. The MK1 (green) upgrade is rather easy to get. The requirements are:
    • The Lab must be bought already
    • You have to wait for a day or two after having bought the lab.
  2. The MK2 (blue) upgrade is where the difficulty starts to raise. The requirements are:
    • Basic upgrade needs to be bought already
    • You need to pass through many extractor cycles (the number of cycles required is possibly 50 or 100. Remember that this is just an estimation and that this might be not true!)
  3. The MK3 (black) upgrade is the hardest one to obtain. The requirements are:
    • MK2 upgrade needs to be bought already
    • You need to pass through a lot of extractor cycles (we're very sure about that, it seems to be the only way to get it. The number of cycles required is possibly 200. Remember that this is just an estimation and that this might be not true!)
