I am so excited! What do you think its gonna be like?

    • It says the real species is extinct and you can only find largos of them. But if there is a gordo then when it pops you will get the final few saber slimes for yourself!

    • I like the idea of the gordo giving you slimes. Maybe then pure sabers will appear in the wild.

    • Better yet, add a hybrid maker/splitter and a largo splitter, so we can get the pure saber slime. Will probably be feral anyway.

    • Too bad it's most likely another cat slime

    • YOU'RE A CAT SLIME!

    • Hey, J12346, a better question is, did YOU go to slime school, Lucky Slimes are based on the lucky CAT, so technically the Lucky Slime is in the cat family, Tabbys are cats, Hunters are cats, Luckys are cats, SABERS. ARE. CATS

Saber Slimes are based on the Saber Tooth CATS and I think Raptorofwar was complaining about how ANamelsessLuckyCat said "Too bad it's most likely another cat slime" and how Lucky Slimes are cats

    • Wait... After looking at the saber slime, there is no indication they are technically cats. We are basing this off of the fact that real life Saber-Toothed cats are cats. The ones in The Wilds have no tails, and the other features are questionable about whether they are cat like features or not. The Slimepedia mentions that they lived in the jellasic period, and so it is unknown whether they more resemble dinosaurs or Saber-Toothed cats.

The deciding factor would probably be the mouth, but it's obscured by the tusks/fangs. So the Saber Slimes are not necessarily cats.

    • Well, it would be kinda logical that, mostly, cat slimes are found in the Wilds. I mean, cats in real life didn't just come outta nowhere, and most of them came from pretty wild lands. Also, considering the plorts of saber slimes scattered around, it's just some luck that pure cat/hunter slimes managed to fuse themselves with saber slime DNA.

    • ALSO, adding to that, just because the sabre-toothed cat was named after it's tooth DOES NOT MEAN it is the only animal with that sort of teeth. There are unidentified ancient sabres, the musk deer, and more well-known, the walrus.

    • Well, all the largos from the Dry Reef, Moss Blanket, and Indigo Quarry are in there. It's not really that they're attracted to cat slimes; it's that all the slimes from that are are there.

It is a bit unusual that Hunter Sabers are so common, but that's only during the daytime. Hunter slimes are supposed to be more active at night. I don't understand why this happens.

Anyways, I would be prepared to explain away the frequency of Hunter Sabers with the fact that it's a jungle.

Wait... there are no Honey Sabers. Why?

So I guess it's just Indigo Quarry slimes and cat slimes.

Personally, I don't see them as cats, but they really can be seen either way.

    • The saber slime isn't a cat.

newsflash, he did say they were cats, you obviously didn't read it right.

    • Revision: the mouth looks too much like a cat to take the saber slime as not a cat slime. I was wrong. Shrug.

    • Why are you guys still arguing about this? This thread was made before Saber Slimes were in the game. Since then, the slimes have long been identified as feline. This is almost like arguing if Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father, it's old news now.
