RingIslandVaultEntrance

The Ring Island Vault is a vault located in The Dry Reef's Ring Island area. Like the other vaults, it is unlocked only after having triggered the credits.

A Slime Key is required to access this vault as there is a Slime Gate inside. There are Treasure Pods inside which are all Purple quality, therefore the Treasure Cracker MKIII is also required to open them.

Initial visit

VaultRingIslandWarningSign

The most noticeable thing when first arriving at this vault is the warning sign to the right of the slime gate, reminiscent of danger zones that spawn feral slimes. However when opening the gate and entering, there is no immediate threat.

VaultRingIslandCeilingTrap

The player is directed down a long corridor leading to a raised platform with a switch as the centerpiece, surrounded by four purple Treasure Pods. Pressing the switch opens up the ceiling, which drops down 10 to 14 feral Pink Rock Largos. However, it also opens up the walls in the connecting corridor, revealing a small subterranean room containing a further ten Purple Treasure Pods.

Note: Due to the nature of the ceiling trap, is recommended to bring food. However since Rock Slimes damage on contact, it may be more viable to turn them into Tarr, and dispatch of them with Water. The latter option is not possible on Casual Mode.

Trivia

  • This is the only area in the game that utilises a ceiling trap of Feral Slimes.
  • The Pink Rock Largo spawns are triggered by walking through the vault's slime gate, and will appear without fail as long as other no slimes and plorts not of their type are present.
  • In total, 140 Gold Plorts can be obtained from this vault. Optionally, Pink and Rock plorts can also be obtained from feeding the Pink Rock Largos.
