Spicy Tofu is a unique food item that all slimes are are able to eat. It does not affect a slime's hunger, so multiple blocks of tofu can be eaten by the same slime and will still produce plorts. They are obtained from Ogden's Retreat at his personal Range Exchange for 3 Kookadoba fruit.

Slimepedia Entry

About:
This spicy tofu is made from Ogden's own secret recipe. Light, silky, and with a spicy kick, it is enjoyed by any slime, though none would call it their favorite. Best of all, if a slime is hungry, they're always willing to eat more. It's almost as if tofu isn't a real food at all!

On the Ranch:
Spicy tofu can't be planted in a garden, only fed to slimes.

Tips

  • Since any slime can eat Spicy Tofu, it can potentially make it easier to obtain plorts from trickier-to feed-slimes, such as meat-eating ones like Boom Slimes or Tangle Slimes.
  • Since multiple pieces of tofu can be eaten by the same slime, it is possible to produce more plorts than usual, by feeding slimes tofu then feeding them regular food afterwards.

Trivia

  • Tofu is a real-world food which is made from bean curds which are pressed into a white block. It has a subtle taste but can be flavoured for sweet or savoury dishes.
  • Despite not affecting a slime's hunger, Spicy Tofu can be used to feed Gordos to bursting (except Gold Gordos) and calm Feral Slimes.
  • Prior to release, the Spicy Tofu was teased on Twitter[1] by Nick, stating:
HOT SCOOP: Ogden's Spicy Tofu features his adorable mug!
OTHER HOT SCOOP: Ogden's Spicy Tofu is a thing.
