The Potted Tactus is a player-created Utility gadget crafted at the fabricator at The Lab. Like most utilities, placing it down requires a two in-game hour installation cooldown before it can be used.

Acquisition[]

The Potted Tactus' blueprint is obtained from a Blue Treasure Pod in The Glass Desert.

Due to it being contained within a Blue Treasure Pod, it requires the Treasure Cracker MK II to open it.

Usage[]

The Potted Tactus has the ability to hold slimes and items shot at it for 1 in-game hour; although Largo Slimes can break free prematurely.

It can also be used decoratively.

Trivia[]

The Potted Tactus is based on a domesticated potted cactus, with a physical resemblence to the South American Pincushion cactus and the Barrel cactus, growing in a segmented fashion similar to the Prickly pear cactus. Its habit of having slimes and items stick to it may be based on Galium aparine, also known as the Cleaver plant, most well known for having small hooked hairs which enable it to stick to fur, hair, and clothing to aid in seed dispersal. Like many other instances in Slime Rancher, the face resembles a slime's face.
