Glass shards are a common resource exclusive to the Glass Desert, obtained with a drill.
The glass shards found in the desert are small fragment of monolothic structures that cover its dunes and cliffs. These structures are believed to be the cause of a dangerous solar anomalies that scorch the landscape, so using a drill to collect these shards is a much safer means of collecting samples of the glass.
Recipes that use Glass Shards
Glass Shards, just like the glass structures dotted around The Glass Desert, may be based on fulgurite; glass tubes formed when lightning strikes soil, sand, or rock. Unlike fulgurite however, the Glass Shard has a clean blue sheen. Due to its presence underground, it is reminiscent of natural volcanic glass.
- The Glass Shard shares a similar model with Indigonium.
