Getting Started on the Slime Rancher Wiki

Hello and welcome to the Slime Rancher Wiki.

You love the game and want to contribute to this Wiki but don't know how? It might be easier than you think to get started.

If you just want to have look at what to edit, I'll recommend this page.

Step 1

If you haven't done so already, create a Wikia account. You have to have one to edit articles.

Step 2

You created an account or already have one? Great! But don't go around and just edit everything. While minor edits like typos and such is no problem and also a huge help, editing large passages of a site without consent might upset the original creator.

So if you want to edit something big, ask about it in the comment section or on the wall of the creator. Be nice to each other.

Step 3

Since you now know your way around on this Wiki, you want to create your very own page to help spread the slime but don't know much about Wiki-Code? Take a look at this page. You will find all the common elements to start your page on it. Just hit the edit button, copy the code to a new page and you're good to go.

Step 4

While creativity is great and a must for every rancher, try to keep the look of the different pages close together. E.g. don't put your images and info-boxes on the left while on every other page they're on the right.

Regarding clarity, it is also important that you add a short summary of what you've changed in the page you edited. Yes, there is a history feature for every page, but seeing it at first glance in the activity feed is better.

And don't forget to add a category to your side or image you upload.
