The Chicken Cloner is a player-created Utility gadget crafted at the fabricator at The Lab. It does not require a two in-game hour installation cooldown to use it.


Acquisition

The Chicken Cloner's blueprint is available from the Tier 1 trade with Viktor at Viktor's Workshop, requiring 100 Bug Reports.


Usage

The Chicken Cloner is capable of cloning chickens, with a 50% success rate.

  • If successful, two chickens will appear when one is shot in.
  • If unsuccessful, the chicken shot into the cloner will be deleted.

Only Hen Hens, Stony Hens, Briar Hens, Painted Hens, Roostros, Elder Hens, and Elder Roostros are eligible for the Chicken Cloner. Other resources shot into the Cloner - including the Chick variants of chickens - will be ignored.

Trivia

  • Prior to release, the roadmap's blurb about the Chicken Cloner stated:
    "This is an experimental gadget constructed by one of Viktor’s scientific peers and, when it works, it creates a perfect clone of any chicken. When it doesn’t, well, that’s a data point at least!"
  • One of the Loading Screen Texts states the following:
    "Rumor has it Viktor invented a plort-cloning technology, and then destroyed it." This suggests that the Chicken Cloner isn't the only cloning technology to have existed.
