I've noticed this cloud of glowing green particles, moving around the overgrowth area. It's accompanied by a soft whirring or rattling noise, and occasionally disappears before reappearing somewhere else. The noise effect reminds me a little of the audio cue for a Lucky Slime, but there's no slime there, as far as I can tell...
Korok seed? In MY slime rancher? It's likelier than you think...

I used to play slime rancher about two to three years ago on my Xbox but only today did I learn about Victor's laboratory... is this a somewhat new feature or am I just stupid?
Set up a teleporter to the Ancient Ruins from the ranch (Or the Lab.), and get one Phase Lemon, one Oca Oca, one Prickle Pear and one Mint Mango. Then, get four Gardens, and give them all every upgrade. Shoot the food you have into each. (Make them all next to each other, also be careful, because this might make slimes jump out of their cages if you don't have high walls and air net.) And then go to sleep for 7 days. Now, feed the slimes you have because they should be agitated by now, but don't feed them the food you just grew. Now, if you have an automatic Plort Collector, collect the plorts, but if you don't, just leave the plorts sitting there. Now, you're gonna need 4 Slimes, and 4 Plorts. Get ten of the Quantum, Rad, Honey and Dervish slimes each, and ten of each of their plorts. Go to a spot in the Ancient Ruins where you are sure the slimes can't escape, and feed all the Rad Slime's Dervish Plorts, feed the Dervish Slime's Honey Plorts, the Honey Slimes Quantum Plorts, and the Quantum Slimes Rad Slime plorts. (Be careful, this could easily start a Tar Outbreak.) and then, throw all the food you just gathered to them, and you will have a lot of plorts- you can feed them over and over again, and if you want, you could buy some slime toys and give it to them. This method still works if you don't have ten of each slimes, you could also use 5 of each of the slimes, even 1, but it will not produce as many plorts.
